It is best to start with easy level if your child has a tendency to ‘flit’ around the computer controls jumping quickly from one task to the next. As a parent/caregiver you will soon be able to work out which is the appropriate level. Best to play it yourself first, once you have read the user guide.

What if I need help with the game?

It is best to download the user guide for free. The guidelines are very clear and precise. The user guide will give you a good guide as to whether this game is age appropriate for your child.

Do I need to sit with my child to play the game with him?

We are well aware that many parents feel guilty if they are not interacting with their child. The game has been designed to accommodate playing with your child and your child playing independently. This allows you the downtime that is much needed when you are raising a child with special needs.

My child is thirteen years old but has learning difficulties he is more at a 9 year old level. Is this game still suitable?

Yes, MyFriendQuest has been designed up to the age of approximately eleven, operating cognitively and emotionally at this level. We have had seventeen year olds with learning difficulties play MyFriendQuest and really gain a lot from the game. If your child plays computer games rated for the general audience, he is likely to enjoy MyFriendQuest.

My child has Autism but is not High Functioning is the game still suitable?

It is likely your child will be able to play the game but will probably find the exercises in the user guide a challenge. Please read the free user guide this will give you a good idea of whether the game is suitable or not.
